Define the approach
Organisational, operational and strategic consulting to support the project’s development and implementation.
One bottle.
A digital identity.
A BELONINA research project supported by Smart Money – Capo II, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and managed by Invitalia. Together with CUBIT, we explored technologies and devices for applying a “digital signature” to bottles and connecting them to wine information.
Research concept: connecting a bottle to digital content through a smartphone.
How can an everyday smartphone recognise a nearby bottle and access its digital content? The project set out to identify a technological method capable of creating this connection.
The development plan envisages multilingual content about wines, wineries and food pairings. Research into the devices provides a basis for subsequent prototyping and development.
Organisational, operational and strategic consulting to support the project’s development and implementation.
Scouting technologies and know-how available on the market for use and adaptation to the project.
Identification of suitable devices and a method for applying a “digital signature” to bottles.
CUBIT’s final report confirms the technology scouting, identification of devices and definition of a method for the bottle’s “digital signature”.
CUBIT’s network helped establish relationships to explore further technology partnerships and potential funding for subsequent stages.
Completion of the activities confirmed by CUBIT on 6 March 2023.
Smart Money – Capo II application submitted, reference SMII0000056.
Contractual period for the research and development consultancy entrusted to CUBIT.
Invitalia signature on the grant decision: up to €10,000, covering 80% of the eligible costs.
CUBIT confirms completion of the collaboration and describes the work carried out.
Invitalia awarded BELONINA SRL a grant of up to €10,000 for the project “Realizzazione di contenuti informativi sulle caratteristiche del vino” (development of informative content about wine characteristics). The work entrusted to CUBIT explores bottle “digital signature” technologies.
Amounts set out in Article 2 of Invitalia’s grant decision. Disbursement is subject to the conditions and cost checks specified in that decision.
Amounts from the BELONINA–CUBIT consulting agreement and project invoices. The value of the services is distinct from the amount of the public grant.
The support is intended for BELONINA’s own research and development. The company is the beneficiary; CUBIT is the appointed research organisation.
